Laitrum Teatre

Actors behind a box theatre 'interpreting' William Shakespeare’s plays condensed into just 8 minutes? Welcome to Micro-Shakespeare, a weird and wonderful approximation to the work of the English playwright by Laitrum Teatre, in which the actors receive instructions through headphones and move the objects around in the box following instructions but without ever knowing why they’re doing what they’re doing.

The audience, seated in front of the box theatre, will also enjoy the selected plays - Hamlet, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, The Tempest and A Midsummer Night’s Dream - through headphones.

Shakespeare as you’ve never seen him before! Humour, love, intrigue, death, vengeance, popcorn, actors who aren’t really actors, a devoted audience and standing ovations.

In collaboration with Quinta de los Molinos Open Space Auditorium
