HOT CINEMA #2: MADRID MEETS BOLLYWOOD

Oro Jondo + Diana Aller

This is the second session of this film series which champions returning to the roots of our local cinemas and the outdoor summer cinemas of old, with the sound of people eating sunflower seeds in summer and an interlude with the message “please visit our bar”. In this way, interruptions at Hot cinema are creative explosions that aim to reassert the value of the shared artistic experience at the movies.

This evening, the chosen commentator is the multidisciplinary artistic project Oro Jondo, created by Juan Sánchez Porta, known for his work in product creation, design and visual art with a kinky and risky Baroque flair. The film selected for the screening is Casa Flora (Ramón Fernández, 1973). Starring Lola Flores, it recounts the return of the body of a dead bullfighter who died in America, with thousands flocking to an Andalusian village. The famous “quiet please” used on many occasions by the most loyal of filmophiles will fall on deaf ears this evening.

Diana Aller will provide the musical entertainment.
