A child’s life is a veritable pop song. Laughter, lots of fun, zero complexes and feelings that need to be expressed. That’s why kids have put their stamp on a genre that until recently seemed to have nothing to do with their particular universe, and they've even got their own prominent artists like Petit Pop, one of the scene’s leading bands.
Formed by Mar, Lara, Cova and Pedro, who are members of bands like Pauline en la Playa, Nosoträsh, Undershakers, Penelope Trip and Edwin Moses, since 2010 Petit Pop has championed the idea that it’s possible for children’s songs to be high-quality and have more meaningful lyrics and melodies that adult ears can enjoy, too. The result is family music in which a sense of humour and nods to everyday life provide the perfect framework for exploring, through the lens of childhood, all of the things that we like, that surprise us, that lead us to ask questions, that scare us...
At Veranos de la Villa, Petit Pop will give a fun, interactive concert that will only be able to keep going if the audience gets involved. Age is irrelevant. The only thing that matters is enthusiasm and the desire to have a good time listening to their songs, whose sounds and subject matter will strike a chord with children and adults alike.
