Maotik & Pandelis Diamantides present “Drowning”

Audiovisual composition of experimental electronic music and visuals for 360º dome

Veranos de la Villa presents a series of shows that unite music with digital art to create a unique, immersive experience. An unusual venue –the Planetarium– will host a sound voyage featuring projections adapted to fit its 360º roof that will be accompanied by music. It won't be your ordinary, everyday concert but rather a new approach: a cinematographic work that bears the distinctive stamp of a sound and visual artist for the audience.

The first Music in Orbit session will feature multimedia artists from France and Cyprus Maotik and Pandelis Diamantides with the Spanish premiere of Drowning, an audiovisual composition based on the sensations triggered by drowning. The work explores the physicality of sound: a vibration that propagates like a wave of audible pressure that pushes the audience down deeper and deeper.
