Madrid is back! And the cameras have started rolling again, too. Little by little, the city, which has always been one big film set, has started to welcome new productions. Madrid wants to host, foster and create projects that reflect the rich, diverse nature of its spaces. In view of this, Veranos de la Villa has invited established and emerging filmmakers to speak about Madrid’s facet as a film set, telling us about the visions of Madrid that they express through film.
Participants in the event –organised in collaboration with Madrid Film Office and the Film Academy– will include residents and mentors from the first year of the Film Academy Residency Programme, developed with the support of Madrid City Council, who will speak about the city's importance in their film projects.
During the event, the 20 projects to be included in the second edition of the Film Academy Residency Programme will also be announced. This programme aims to provide filmmakers with financial resources and training to enable them to develop their audiovisual projects.
