IYAGUI: CUENTOS COREANOS

silueta de caballo de cartón

Like in so many countries, children's literature in Korea is rooted in the folk tales and songs of oral tradition. And what better way to travel around the world than to let our imaginations run wild? The world of storytelling and literature is in itself a thrilling journey where anything is possible.

In connection with the 10th anniversary of the Korean Cultural Centre in Spain, four performers will give us a look at Korean culture through their tales: one contemporary and another traditional. Ola azul, or Blue Wave, tells the story of a captive horse, the only one of its kind, which comes face to face with its own destiny, while El caldero mágico, or The Magic Cauldron, warns of the potentially disastrous consequences of greed.

The stories take us on an exciting theatrical voyage complete with plane figures, masks and music by the company 4 Lunas, a multidisciplinary group of professionals from the spheres of theatre, education and the humanities who draw on visual arts and physical performances to tell educational stories.
